update:

i previously posted this morning that amanda landed a position with a middle school in LA unified. the principle called and offered her the position this morning. about 15 minutes ago the district office informed the school that they couldn't hire any more new teachers. so amanda will not be teaching at that school unless something changes anytime soon. she's dissapointed, but we're trying to figure something out. please keep her in your prayers.

i am crying in the bathroom

so i stumbled across this in my convoluted surfing this evening. as a disclaimer, this may not be for everyone who likes the latest sufjan steven's album. not everyone likes remixes. it will also never be better than the original album, but it sure is a great and fun listen.

i am still in the process of listening to it, and haven't made it all the way through yet, but i like i lot of what i have heard. the remixed art really did it for me. i love me some gangstas on mars!

today should bring news about amanda's interview last week. for those of you that i haven't been able to talk to in person, the interview went really well. one of the three people in her interview actually offered her the position, but they told her they would call her today (tuesday) and let her know. they said that they had already set up a few other interviews for the position, so they need to take care of those since they had set them up. hopefully she gets the position. i will update in the comments once i get back home tonight around 7pm-ish. thanks once again for the prayers. keep 'em coming.

prayer request

for those of you that in in the habit of praying, here's one for you.

amanda has a job interview tomorrow for a middle school english teaching position with LA Unified. it would be absolutely amazing if she were to get this position and would make a big difference for her spirits, and for our income etc. she hates her job that she has so much right now, and it really effects her spirits and energy levels. she's always tired when she comes home because she feels like her job is pointless and they pay her so little for how hard she works. now i know that teaching is a tiring job, but she really wants to do it, and she feels like she would be making a difference in kids lives, which is really good too. anyway her interview is at 1:30pm tomorrow (friday), so if you could be praying about it, we would both really appreciate it. i will let you know how it goes.
